My family and I are on the cusp of relocating to Sedona, AZ to dive into starting a new church! In the meantime, North Point is diving headlong into finding my replacement. Here’s the “job Description” as outlined by our Lead Pastor, Tim Bycroft:
I am looking for someone whose life has been radically impacted by Jesus Christ. I am looking for a self starter. Someone who is passionate and doesn’t mind asking the question, “why?” I am looking for a “Leader” who knows how to “Follow”. I am looking for someone who has a heart for those outside a relationship with Jesus Christ.
This person would be in charge of the Weekend Services under my guidance. Here are some general responsibilities.
Director will perform or will give direct oversight to:
-Promoting the vision of Reaching Up, Reaching Out and Reaching In
-Help the Lead Pastor or other Preaching Pastors with executing the main idea of each Sermon Series and the Weekend Services.
-Work with Leaders to determine the next steps in implementing and improving the Creative Arts and Weekend Service experience.
-Build meaningful relationships and provide care for Leaders and Volunteers.
-Develop and implement strategies for identifying and recruiting Leaders and Volunteers
-Develop and implement strategies for helping the area community to Reach Up to God and Connect with Christ and the NPC community. (i.e. outreach events in the community: parades, concerts, ect.)
-Build and enable teams to accomplish important “operational” task (i.e. maintaining supplies and equipment, ensuring excellent sound quality, build stage sets if necessary)
-Ensure the stage décor is appropriate for the main idea of Sermon Series or the message of the Weekend Services and stage is prepared for Weekend Services (lighting, sound equipment, stage is clean, preaching platform in place)
-Ensure, through proper preparation and review of services, that the weekend services are executed with only minor mistakes and errors (weekly evaluations and meetings with preaching team).
-Evaluate with the Preaching Team the weekend services.
-Oversight of the Creative Arts Teams: Sound / Light / Media / Worship
-Make sure that the services are put on the website in timely manner.
