Oddly (or not), I keep returning to this theme: COMMUNITY

1. WITH GOD: If we’re living out the Gospel, we’re living with the recognition that we’re always in community with God.

    • While reading Halter and Smay’s, Tangible Kingdom Primer, it hit me, we’re baptized into the community or family of God – Father, Son, and Spirit!  LIVING out the Gospel means that we’re living in awareness of that Community…ALWAYS together…NEVER apart.

2. WITH OTHER BELIEVERS: If we’re living out the Gospel, we’re living in community with others that are striving to live in community with God.

    • OUR Father in Heaven… Give US this day OUR daily bread and forgive US OUR trespasses as WE forgive… Lead US not into temptation but deliver US from evil… (The Lord’s Prayer)

3. WITH NOT-YET BELIEVERS: Finally, if we’re living out the Gospel, we’re intentionally living in community with (?for?) those that are far from God.

For quite some time I’ve taught that salvation, heaven, and the Kingdom are not simply about where we go when we die, but about how we Live (notice that capital “L”) here and now.  Jesus’s Life reflected such.
