We’ve entered into, participated in, and come out on the other side of yet another amazing week with the community and family of SummitLIFE in Sedona!  This past Sunday marked our 2nd official home gathering, with 22 people (twice as many as last week) eating, worshiping, learning, praying, and dreaming TOGETHER.  In the words of Jesus, we’re striving to be…

“…like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden.  It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches (Luke 13:18-19).”

“…like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough (Luke 13:20-21).”

We’re striving to be…no, we are the Kingdom of God, living, growing, and advancing within/among the community of Sedona.  And the amazing thing?  GOD is responsible for all of it!  He knew long before any of us that this was coming!  HE was planning connections…He was working in the hearts and minds of various families…He was bringing about HIS purposes unbeknownst to any of us…and today we stand back and say, “Woah, God!  Your ways are higher, your dreams BIGGER, and your plans greater than we could ever ask or imagine!”  Seriously, if I had a dollar for every time that Michelle and I have met someone over the past couple of weeks and had them say to us, “We’ve been praying for you to come!”, though we’d never met them before in our lives…  Amazing.  The Kingdom of God is among you, Sedona.

And may we continue to grow…living in Community with God, One Another, & Others who don’t know God…yet.  And through Creativity (in art, music, & story) and Community (the interacting of our story, their stories, & His story), may we elevate peoples’ perspectives from focusing on and worshiping the created (the beauty and mystery of God’s creation, which is Sedona’s drawing card) to focusing on and worshiping the Creator.
