Well, Matt McClane and I are hanging out at our hotel in Alpharetta, GA awaiting the Catalyst Conference. Catalyst is all the buzz among young (and young-at-heart) leaders featuring speakers such as Francis Chan, Perry Noble, Pete Wilson, Seth Godin,…and the list goes on and on. Quite the lineup!

Ironically, while awaiting hearing words of wisdom from these modern-day leaders, I turned to the pages of a church leader from days-gone-by…Ignatius of Antioch. My favorite quote from his letter to the Ephesians (yes, the same Church at Ephesus that Paul addressed) reads as follows:

”For what matters is not a momentary act of professing, but being persistently motivated by faith.’ ~Ignatius

While I’m excited about the conference, the speakers, and spending time with Matt, I highly doubt that I’ll walk away from the conference with greater wisdom and Truth than what Ignatius imparted to me from his martyr’s grave. May his words motivate and encourage you as they have me!
