Staff and Leadership
Shortly after relocating to Sedona in 2014, Wendy and her husband Don arrived at SummitLIFE and knew they had found their tribe. Since then, Wendy has served in set up/tear down, AWANA, communication, LIFEgroups, first impressions, and worship leading.
January 2018, she came on staff full time as the Business & Marketing Administrator. After planting pastor David Parker’s announcement that he and his family would be moving from Sedona, Wendy and Don followed God’s call to become co-pastors of the community of SummitLIFE.
Pre-Arizona, Wendy was actively involved for more than 10 years in various areas of ministry at Crossroads Christian Church in Evansville, IN, and women’s ministry with various organizations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication, with a minor in writing from the University of Evansville in Indiana.
Wendy has never met a pair of shoes she didn’t like; loves to travel; and enjoys long walks along the golf course and on the trails of Sedona. She also lifts weights so she can beat Don at arm wrestling.
Don relocated to Sedona with his wife Wendy in 2014 to follow their long-planned dream to live among the red rocks. God led them to SummitLIFE the Spring of 2015, where Don began to serve in set up/tear down, KidsLIFE & AWANA, media, communication, LIFEgroups, and skits (roles have included Elvis, Christmas Vacation’s Cousin Eddie, and Elf on the Shelf). He’s also quite a clown. Seriously, keep your eyes open for that.
When planting pastor David Parker announced he and his family would be moving on from Sedona the Spring of 2018, Don and Wendy felt called to lead the community of SummitLIFE into the future.
Before moving to Arizona, Don was actively involved for more than 10 years in various areas of ministry at Crossroads Christian Church in Evansville, IN. He holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational management and an MBA from the University of Evansville in Indiana.
An experienced IT guy in his other life, Don has been called an anomaly for knowing technology and having a personality and the ability to see a bigger picture for an organization. He’s also an Army veteran, avid hiker, and struggling golfer.
David, his wife Michelle, and three children relocated to Sedona in 2012 to plant SummitLIFE. He began serving in church ministry while attending Ozark Christian College and has been serving full-time since 1997.
He’s a singer/songwriter/artist with a passion for music and creative communication. The lake, a hoppy beer, traveling, and time with family and friends are a few of his loves.
